Susie+Cooper+Deco+period
Susie Cooper Deco period
This is a fine and rare Wood & Sons Susie Cooper teapot, hand-painted in polychrome colours of blue, yellow, orange, pink and black in broad free brush strokes. The classic strong deco design 389 date is circa 1932.
The pot is 8 inches high. The finial has been off at some stage and been re-glued; it is difficult to notice unless under very close examination...(could be professionally restored if preferred).
Back-stamp has only the painted 389 indicating period and Susie Cooper design produced by Wood and Son, and can be identified in several specialist publications on Susie Cooper including: 'Susie Cooper an elegant affair' by Bryn Youds; this book displays the exact pattern on page 5. Also: 'Susie Cooper Productions' by Ann Eatwell page 35 #62.
I guarantee this pot to be genuine and period
