This is one of a very popular range of politically inspired teapots made around the turn of the 19th century. They all have similar bodies, but illustrate varies statesman and politicians as much venerated in those days as they are nowadays...0ne of the favourites was President Kruger, warts and all apropos the Boer War villain..delightful.
